Denise LeTard is a Certified Public Accountant with decades of experience spanning healthcare finance, small business consulting, and executive financial planning.
Foundation & Expertise Denise earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Business Management from Loyola University New Orleans. She began her career at Price Waterhouse & CO, developing a rigorous technical foundation working with sophisticated financial structures. She later transitioned into the healthcare sector, including a pivotal tenure in Houston, TX at Baylor College of Medicine / Methodist Hospital, where she gained deep expertise in healthcare operations and regulatory environments.
Building the Hill Country Community Drawn to the Texas Hill Country and the opportunity to build something meaningful, Denise relocated to Kerrville where she was recruited by local physicians and the hospital to serve as the first Executive Director of the Greater Hill Country Healthcare Alliance, a new network formed to address the emerging managed care environment. In this role, she guided physicians in building financially stable, well-structured practices while also recruiting providers to strengthen healthcare access throughout the region. She later built on this work by owning and operating a successful medical billing company for more than a decade, serving specialty practices across Texas and supporting their long-term financial sustainability.
A Partner for Growth Today, Denise partners with physicians, small business owners, and executives, with a particular passion for supporting female leaders. She provides holistic advisory services—from operational strategy and growth planning to retirement and long-term wealth preservation. Her clients are often forward-thinking medical and health organizations that require a trusted advisor capable of managing both complexity and scale.
Personal Life Outside of her professional practice, Denise enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, caring for her dogs, and staying active on the pickleball court.
Denise’s commitment to healthcare is deeply rooted in her family history. Her father, Francis LeTard, M.D., was among the first group of physicians at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans and played a formative role in the hospital’s early development and its mission to bring high-quality medical care into the community.
Her mother, Evelyn, documented those early years through photography and storytelling, helping physicians and their families feel connected, welcomed, and grounded in a new place. Denise’s first job was in the Respiratory Care Unit of the hospital where she absorbed the rhythms of hospital life from an early age.
a collection that feels like home and tastes like a life well-lived
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics in 1942, she became a pillar of the New Orleans community, serving on boards for Ochsner Health System, the Orleans Medical Society Alliance, and the Ochsner Hospitality Club. A devoted wife of 54 years, mother, and grandmother, she balanced her leadership roles with a deep devotion to her family and a lifelong passion for the culinary traditions of her city.
To honor her memory, Denise is sharing these cherished recipes—a collection that reflects Evelyn’s "Home Ec" precision and her soulful New Orleans roots. They are more than just instructions; they are a legacy of love and the flavors of a home where everyone was welcome. Denise hopes these dishes bring a taste of Maw Maw’s warmth and heritage to your own family table.
